Overview

I was looking at the Senior UX Role at Riot Games focused on the Riot Games, Mobile App.

I took some time out of my week to explore what was present, reviews, and what might be changed to add value to players.

Background

The Riot Mobile app (formerly the League Friends app) was announced Aug 26, 2021, and was officially launched October 4th, 2021.

“If you’re looking for an easy way to stay up to date with the games and events that matter most to you, Riot Mobile has you covered. At launch we’ll support the following titles, but will continue to expand as we release new experiences:

  • League of Legends

  • League of Legends: Wild Rift

  • VALORANT

  • Legends of Runeterra

  • Team Fight Tactics

 

Current VERSION

As of February 2026, the presented primary features of Riot Mobile are as follows:

  • News - Any news or patch notes pertaining to any of the above and more games

  • Chat -

  • Multi-Auth

 

Review(s)

Currently, I am reviewing the Riot Mobile app on the latest iOS, on my iPhone SE2

Performance is solid for the most part on the hardware and with my home Wifi.

However, there are notable disconnects from Social Services that are caused by inactivity or idle of my phone.
